HCG level 15 days after embryo transfer

Yesterday at 15dp5dt I went for a blood test and my HCG is only 150.

Has anyone else had a similar level and went on to have a normal pregnancy? My home pregnancy tests have been stronger every day but the digital one only said 1-2 weeks. I’m getting retested on Monday and I know the important thing is the doubling rate, rather than the level itself, but a bit worried about it. xx

Hi AmyK227 I don't have any direct experience on this, but everything I've read says that what counts is that HCG levels double every 48 hours or so. However, I believe that more goes into the assessment of HCG levels than just doubling, such as what time of the day the blood test is done. I think it's a good sign that your tests are getting darker. I've read of a lot of people who then do a Clear Blue digital test which has shown a different number of weeks pregnant to what they were expecting which has caused them concern, but I think these tests can only really give a rough indication of how far along you are. Your bloods on Monday will hopefully give you the assurances you need, but I can imagine the wait until then is very daunting. Xx

Thank you, my levels had indeed increased to 629 today so perfect doubling rate! Hoping it continues!

Updating for the benefit of anyone who might be searching in the future with what happened next:

6w3d - scan showed gestational sac and yolk sac but no fetal pole

7w4d - scan showed fetal heartbeat but only measured at 6 weeks, so over a week behind

8w4d - scan showed there was no longer a heartbeat and baby would have stopped growing shortly after previous scan

Our gut had told us something wasn’t right from the very beginning with the faint test lines and low HCG xx

Just saw your update. So sorry to hear.

I tested positive on Friday, and my HCG level was ok, but it still doesn't stop you worrying. Such an anxious time.
