HCG Level 47

I haven't posted on here in a while but I just got a positive pregnancy test on my third IVF attempt but my HCG level has come at 47 which seems very low. Does anyone have any advice?

I haven't had any bleeding yet

Congrats!!!

Is it due to otd?

in reply tomannamay

Thank you.

Otd was on Saturday and the test lines are very faint but digital said 'pregnant' . I just don't have a good feeling...

hm, as far as I know >25 means 100% positive result but the has to increase day by day..maybe it's not the 14th day? you can have a test in a few days, hcg must be higher then

in reply tomannamay

going back tomorrow to test again so hopefully it has risen.

The range for HCG is huge. 47 is still classed as positive. The important thing is it needs to double every 48 hrs. I'm sure your Dr will monitor closely.

Thank you I have another blood test today.

Hi there. Sadly I had the exact same experience last week :-( and mine didn't turn out well. My HVG level was 49. It needs to double or even increase by 25%. Stay positive. Wishing you all the blessings.

Did you have second blood test and levels decreased?

I did last week Wednesday and it was still the same but the line was no longer visible so the clinic said they will test again in case its ectopic but called me later in the day to say the levels dropped further and I should stop the meds and should get my period in a few days. It was a chemical pregnancy. Please don't lose hope, miracles are possible. 47 is a good level. Praying all goes well at your next test and your little baby is fighting in there.

I'm so sorry to hear. it's so cruel to have it taken away from you like that :( do you plan to try again?

Thank you, I was really sad about it :-( Hubby told me not to get so excited and wait for the blood test day. Right now we not sure, worried that I'm not strong enough or my uterus isn't either . We don't get funded so its all cash here. Also the emotional stress, takes its toll on the relationship. We thinking of going the surrogacy route, have seen a lot of positive results. Holding thumbs for you for tomorrow.

It is so emotional you're right and we have definitely had to fight to keep our marriage together through all the struggles. I honestly don't know what would be next for us either. Best of luck for whatever you decide
