I have 2 questions that I would really welcome advice on…
1) I was meant to start my Buserelin shots last night as it was day 21 on the long protocol. However I came away without it. I’m wondering if it’s ok to start on day 22? Any experience with this? Of course I would ask my clinic but it’s the weekend and who knows if I’ll hear back as it takes a while even on a weekday!
2) I had covid in July hence cycle was cancelled midway. I had it pretty bad to be honest and was unwell for around 3 weeks. My Accupuncturist said I should wait 3 months for my hormones to return to normal but I am unsure if that warrants waiting to start until October for EC in November. I’ve had 2 periods since covid. One which was super late by 2 weeks and then the more recent which was on time. I’m toying with the idea more to delay another month only because I was Googling and the life cycle of eggs etc being 90 days. However I’m not sure if it counts that since having covid (July to EC end of October) is exactly 3 months or whether I should start after 3 months have passed. I thought I’d made my mind but missing last night’s shot has got me procrastinating again.
Please let me know your thoughts! Thank you x

Hi wool. Starting on Day 22 will be just fine. With regards to having a bad dose of covid, your hormones will be checked anyway, so not to worry there. The buserelin will be switching them off temporarily anyway. Hope all goes well. Diane
Thank you for your reply. I’ve still not been able to get through to my clinic so I am so grateful for your reply. When you say hormones will be checked anyway, wouldnt this be later in the treatment. I.e. once I have started my stims? Would that be too late?
Hi wool. Yes, it depends upon how your clinic works. Some work by scanning and some by bloods or even both. Read through your patient information if you have any and it will tell you what to expect. They will look after you I'm sure. After all they want you to be successful too. Diane
