So after my last failed cycle where I had nothing to transfer my consultant advised to do another cycle.

I have frozen blastocyst but I just dont believe they will stick.

I had FET two weeks ago and not to my surprise it falied a big fat negative. Been there got the tshirt.

7 failed cycles 7 fat negatives. I couldn't even cry feel so numb carrying on like nothing happened as if its just normal to aimlessly put my body mind and heart through so much.

Consultant said ERA/EMMA/ALICE and NK cells test is a waste / gimmick so what I just aimlessly transfer what I have with the same outcome?

44 years old. AMH is 14. He thinks thats good but it doesnt guarantee anything.

He also said testing the Embroys is not a good idea either.

Started looking into DE clinics abroad just to give me a glimmer of hope because that's all I have.

Just feel so down. Didnt know where to turn so came on here. Sorry for the rant will try to pick myself up x

😢😢 I’m so sorry your going through this. I’ve not had the nk cells test that might be on the list if this one doesn’t work. but I had the Alice emma and era test In may. We are away to transfer with an extra day of progesterone as per the results of the era test. I don’t know if this will work or make a difference but it’s definately worth a shot. We also did the embryo testing and it came back that 3 out of the 4 embryos were abnormal so it saved us transferring ones that were never going to make it. I don’t know if u can speak to another doctor or move clinics. Our clinic has changed things everytime. Xxx I hope your ok xxx

My heart goes out to you and I truly wish for your dream come true ♡ I can only speak for the NK Cell test as I came up as super high. I also did further tests with pregnancy tissue to determine what I need to suppress my immune system while pregnant. For history I'm 46 and have had 7 miscarriages, 1 failed fresh transfer, all after 40, no living children.  Turns out my best chances are with IVIG, but have you seen the prices?! My next best option is intralipids with prednisolone. For me, I think it might be worth it to check for a couple of reasons. First & foremost it could be just what you need for your BFP. Secondly, it could give you a little more peace of mind.

One test I recommend to everyone, because it's actually what turned out to be our issue, is the sperm DNA Fragmentation test. My husband's sperm Fragmentation was 39% which translates to me never being able to carry to term. We put him on a strict ketogenic diet and antibiotics and 3 months later he had only 10% Fragmentation, which is excellent. However, a month later we learned that my husband had stage 3 throat cancer & had to undergo aggressive chemo & radiation, which is why we did IVF.  All along though, the NHS & specialists blamed me prior to seeing his sperm DNA Fragmentation results (You're too old, you're too fat, you're too XYZ).

All this to say you never know what the tests might reveal. Again, I hope all the best for you ♡

I’m so sorry you are going through this. I feel like your consultant could be a bit more supportive! What I have learnt is that we have to advocate for everything and push what we think will help based on our own research in addition to the specialists.

If you think you need more tests, push for them or change clinics. It’s hard at our age due to egg quality but not impossible (I’m similar, 43, good AMH of 9.8). I’m lucky I have a child from a round at 35 but lost a baby at 17 weeks last year after a FET from my previous round due to a chromosome issue.

I’m doing a cycle in November. I’ve been taking ubiquinol in a bid to improve my egg quality. Not suggested by my FS but she said it wouldn’t hurt. I read the book ‘it starts with an egg’ which was really helpful.

My consultant has also suggested PGT for any embryos I manage to get. If I get one I’ll just transfer and keep my fingers crossed. If I get more I’ll test them and hope one is normal!

This will be my last round. If I didn’t already have my boy I’d be trying donor eggs. We already have to use a sperm donor due to male factor.

Good luck lovely, it’s bloody hard xxxx
