Been back to the clinic this morning to make arrangements for our frozen transfer, just doing it in a natural cycle and waiting for my period to start then ring them up, was told the frozen blastocysts have a 15% chance, if I choose to have 2 transferred then I will have a 30% chance, feeling abit disappointed with these percentages

It's better than 0%! Stay positive, plenty of people in a fb group I'm in, had positives from frozen x
Thanks Louiemac73 I know there a lot of woman who get success from frozen blastocyst transfers, and I am grateful for having some frozen in the first place. Was just expecting alittle higher of success rates that's all, but when you think of it, woman who conceive naturally only have a 20% chance each month so it is not bad at all. Have you had a frozen transfer yet? x
Im sorry to hear that you did not get none to freeze, what is the cause of your infertility? x
stay positve danielledavison, miracles do happen!!! so goodluck and keep us informed on how it goes
Thanks Shirley I love it on here as we all need to talk about how we are feeling and what we are going through don't we. all the best at which ever stage you are at..x
Keep positive danielle. How many frosties do you have in total? X
Hi sum1sweeta we got 7 blastocysts frozen. x
Hi wishing you all the luck - didn't think natural success was only 20% though - maybe I miss read that. Will you have them transferred on this next cycle did you say? Keep us posted
Bet you are really excited now. I have my first monitoring scan tomorrow to see if there has been any response. very nervous about that as it could be over then
Hi Danielle, I'm having my frozen embryo by the natural cycle on Wednesday! Can't wait but didn't realise the percentages were so low, it's my last chance so fingers crossed! I only have two frosties so hoping and praying they attach and stay there! Good luck to you and keep us posted xxx
Hi mai5ie are you having the transfer on the Wed or are you in the process of being monitored for ovulation? which ever stage your at, all the best for your outcome. xx
Hi Danielle I'm actually having the transfer on Wednesday! I rang them when I started my last period and then started the ovulation tests last Tuesday. I got a high fertility result yesterday so I rang them and they called me back to come in on Wednesday, just waiting for the embryologist to phone me with a time! Nail biting or what! I can't wait for Wednesday but also a little scared! Xx
Hi mai5ie did you have to go for scans every day to check your ovulation or did you use a ovulation kit, ive got to attend for scans every day from day 10 of my period starting until i have ovulated. Good luck for Wednesday i have good vibes for you.x
Hi Danielle, I have just done the ovulation kit there was no mention of scans. When they told me about doing it by a natural cycle it seemed to sound so easy especially after the last lot of ivf, so I worried about that! Now I feel quite relaxed and I'm praying it works this time! Let's hope your good vibes are right, fingers crossed for us both and everyone else on this site xx
I've got my target FET date through: 3rd November. Start BCP 2nd September then buserelin from 16th Oct. Then I take oestrogen pills and one pregnel jab to trigger ovulation just before I go in.
Have you got your date yet? Probably be before me as you are natural cycle. Don't really know why my clinic insist on medicated - they say it is for control.
Hiya maccerpops how you feeling? your frozen cycle does seem like a lot to take in but the reason why I am having a natural cycle is because I have a higher blood clotting risk from my past history so they don't want to give me more drugs unnecessarily to avoid me getting a blood clot and also because they say my lining gets nice and thick naturally (12mm) The oestrogen tablets can make your blood abit sticky they said so they want to try and avoid this. I am just waiting on my period coming which is due in 10 days then I ring up the clinic and let them know I have started bleeding, they will then scan me 10 days on from it starting up until they have seen that ive ovulated then transfer the embryos, I was told that I have a 15% chance if I transfer 1 and a 30% if I transfer 2. I am having 2 transferred.
Hi Danielle, I rang the clinic last week when my smiley face fertility kit started to flash! I told the nurse that it was flashing which ment high fertility and should I wait untill it showed peak fertility, she said no it was right so she booked me in for Wednesday with the embryologist! I was so excited but that was short lived! I tested for the next few days and the bloomin smiley face still kept flashing, meaning no peak fertility! I rang the clinic on monday from the Broom cupboard at work and I got another nurse who said the other nurse was wrong she shouldn't have booked me in untill I was at peak fertility! Arrrrgh! She suggested cancelling until my next cycle as the ovulation kit was faulty! I cancelled the transfer as it's my last chance and I want to give it my best shot! I came out from the cupboard in shock, I feel so disappointed! I spent the rest of the day at work not knowing what I was doing! I rang the clinic again today and the nurse said to get a clearblue 2 day ovulation kit not the 4 day one, so I have and I'm on standby for next month! Clearblue makes millions of kits and out of all them trust me to get a faulty one! Typical x
