We’re slowly creeping towards the dates for my last appointments before EC and I’m so excited to begin treatment. I know that would sound strange to anyone outside of this community, but I’ve been waiting for 7 years to get to this point - I’m 38 and feeling the pressure to get started.
Since my DH is 59 we have only 12 months in which the French health service will work with us (he will no longer be eligible once he is 60), so despite this small window of opportunity I am trying to stay positive and hopeful for success.
I made some positive lifestyle changes as of August and am crossing my fingers that this will have some kind of impact on egg quality when we get to EC next month. I have a hysterosonogram on Tuesday, then my anaesthetist, sage-femme and biologiste appointments on the 28th September.
After that, I think it’s all going to go rather quickly as day 1 of my period will be due around the 5th/6th October and from then I expect to be stimming.
I’m a bit anxious about what that will look like in terms of work and appointments (I’m self employed and tend to be a tough boss 🙈) but just getting to the point where this changes from theory to action will be exhilarating.
Anyone else doing EC or ICSI in October?
