I had a FET on the 27th of August and I was convinced almost from the start that it hadn’t worked. I felt like the transfer was late and I wasn’t feeling great …
Yesterday I had my blood test at the clinic and I got a BFP!!!
I tested at home on day 7 and 8 and got negatives, then a faint positive on day 9. My blood test yesterday was day 10.
I’ve never been one to test early but I really struggled this cycle, I was cramping the whole time and was convinced AF was going to arrive! This just shows that you can get negatives almost right up to test day!
I’m estimated to be 4 weeks and 2 days so very early days but I’ll take it.
Fingers crossed for you all xx

Hi HelenJudi. That's briliant news! Just shows you my views on testing too early, as tempting as it is. Hopefuly all should go to plan now. When you get to 6 weeks and you feel you still need support, you could move over to the Pregnancy Support Forum. Diane
that’s great news!!! Congratulations! So pleased for you! xx
I think all any of us can do is take it a day at a time. I had some ‘spotting’ on Friday evening so I’m away for another blood test tomorrow morning, but I’ve had nothing since (thankfully) so thinking positive xx
blood test went well thank you. They didn’t give me numbers (probably best because I know I’d over analyse them) but they said they had ‘risen beautifully’ so I’ll take that. Just desperate for the early scan day to arrive but that’s still 2 1/2 weeks away!
thats great. I have a scan in 12 days time. My clinic doesn’t do blood tests so it will be my first time back there since transfer. It feels like such a long time! Every day is like a week! Just keep trying to tell myself 'just be happy you are pregnant and have no concerns or sickness or anything and make the most of it' ! Im so impatient!
I’m the exact same! Constantly trying to reassure myself. Trying to enjoy it but I struggle. My test isn’t for another 2 1/2 weeks - my clinic won’t scan before 8 weeks now (used to be 7) … it feels like forever away! I am also very impatient!
Hi HelenJudi1 congratulations! That's great news. I take it this wasn't your first transfer? Hopefully all progresses well for you. Did your clinic book you in for a scan?
Your FET was 3 days after mine and I've still not tested yet (OTD tomorrow), but I've not had any cramps or other symptoms. Was it 'just' cramps for you or was there anything else of note? I am dreading testing, it's my last embryo (transfer no 9) and I think the end of the road
Thank you! No this wasn’t my first transfer. My first round of ivf I got three blastocysts and the first worked (now my little girl) and then the last two transfers I’ve had failed so this was my first transfer from my second round of ivf - but my last shot as it’s all been private and I didn’t want to keep paying as I felt guilty with already having a child if that makes sense? Money I could spend on her, I think that’s why I struggled.
I had cramps and a sore lower back / boobs. I don’t recall cramping with my first successful transfer though which is why I was worrying. So it just shows you how different symptoms can be!
I wish you all the luck with your test tomorrow! 🤞🏻Is it a home test or bloods?
My clinic have booked me in for a scan on the 3rd of October xx
congrats! I had a FET on 1st Sept but my clinic doesn’t test until 14 days past transfer. I just can’t believe it might have worked but I really hope it has. Been feeling intermittently crampy since 2 days ago now which I haven’t had my last 2 transfers. I know it could all just be progesterone but here’s to hoping.
