hello everyone, I hope you are having a good day. I’d love your advice.
After 2 failed transfers my doctor has recommended I have an hysteroscopy endometrial curettage. I said yes without knowing anything about it and I was told I’d get information sent through the post.
I haven’t received anything so far and I’ve got a “pre op” appointment on Saturday to discuss it. ( I had no idea that I’d signed myself up for surgery!)
Has anyone had this before? Do you know what they look for and what the change to a frozen transfer may be as a result?
I have a list of questions ready for my appointment, but I was hoping to be a bit more educated before I go.
Thank you so much x

Yes I had this after my first failed transfer, definitely worth doing as she found a polyp and adhesions which she cut away. This wasn’t visible at all from an MRI or scan - she was surprised to see it there. It’s for sure worth checking for piece of mind. My surgery took two hours but if all is fine it would have been 15 mins. I had no pain or discomfort at all after, just a little spotting.
Hi Poppygarden. My feelings are that if you have had a few failed attempts at IVF/FET etc., then it is worth doing to check out your womb and lining for any "blips" that could be causing a problem and could most likely be dealt with at the time. You will be sedated, so should be pain free. Good luck! Diane
