Synarel nasal spray side effects

Has anyone taken synarel nasal spray as part of their protocol? I am concerned about the short term and long term side effects. I had been experiencing severe perimenopausal symptoms but taking eostrogen during my first cycle (a year ago) seemed to sort that out. I am worried that taking synarel could have along term impact and trigger menopause.

Hi, I took the nasal on my last (4th) cycle, it was so much easier to take and didn’t experience any other symptoms than I did when I was on the Buserelin injections.

I haven’t really read about any long term side effects because I didn’t really have any other options than taking that at the time.

I'm on the spray too, so far similar side effects to the injection on my first cycle: increased appetite mid morning and some hormone swings. Hoping that's it!

Similar to the other replies you have, I used it on a cycle and didn't have any side effects. Every nurse that saw my protocol card said "ohhh the dreaded synarel spray" and made similar faces of disgust 😄 but other than that horrid chemical drip taste in back of your throat, I didn't get the headaches that are apparently so common which was surprising as I'm a migraine sufferer usually. Hope you're a lucky no symptoms kind too. Good luck! Xx

Personally I didn't get on with Synarel. My body was a little too responsive to it and it would shut me down completely. On cycles where I used it, it was either really hard to get my body going again with stimulation drugs as I was over-suppressed or it'd take ages to get my normal cycles back afterwards if the cycle failed so I requested from my clinic that we stop using it for me and we only ever did natural FETs or short-protocol fresh cycles with no down regulation after that. It hasn't had a long-term impact on my fertility, I've since conceived my second ICSI baby but if you don't feel like you're getting on with it, it's perfectly reasonable to discuss it with your clinic.

Every body is different hopefully it’s all fine but you don’t have to put up and shut up if it’s not. Just make sure you drink plenty as it’s common to get headaches. Good luck with your cycle x
