Hi Skittles, so I had a follow up scan about 6 weeks after the D&C and everything looked fine. Getting really frustrated now as in my 6 month and generally feel crappy and not myself at all which I assume is probably to do with the hormones and not actually getting a period.
I am starting to worry its a pituitary issue or ashermans syndrome... I haven't managed to speak with anyone that has not had a period for this length of time after a standard D&C
I'm not surprised you're not feeling yourself. I would be inclined to go with Twiglet2 and say it would be worth getting some bloods taken to see if that can tell you more. I have tried provera in the past (unrelated to D&C) and it didn't kick start my period in the way I was expecting. Perhaps there is an alternative medication you can try so I would also be asking about that as well as the bloods xx
Hi lovely I’m so sorry this has happened to you and that you are now going through the worry of no periods. Have you spoken with your clinic about it? You’ve probably already discussed it with them but In different circumstances (cancelled round due to lletz procedure for precancerous cells) my period hadn’t returned 3-4 months later and they were able to go a blood test to see if they were on their way and when they weren’t they gave me noristherone for a week to kick start them so I’m wondering if they could help in some way reset things for you too? Xxx
Hello, I’m so sorry for your losses and also the stress of your period not returning. Not sure if you know but there is a good Facebook page for ashermans. I had scaring after an ERPC but also have heard many many people after just one D&C-so it’s possible if you’ve not had a period for that long. There are a few things you can try but would definitely do a 3D SIS before surgery unless an ashermans specialist suggests otherwise. Please PM me and I can give you some more information if that’s of use. Recovery after loss and miscarriage is so horrible-thinking of you xx
Thanks so much Cassie will PM you now , Twiglet2 i will ask also about this other medication... I have gotten some bloods done waiting on these to come back .. so hopefully have more information soon ..
