Hi, I don’t have a success story yet but I’m currently on my first round of ivf and I have endo too. Just wanted to wish you lots of luck xx

Hello 👋

Hope you’re well.

I totally understand how you feel as this was me for over 10 years.

I have stage 4 endo. I have had several laps to remove endo and had my ovaries separated twice due to kissing ovaries. I also have endo on my bowel.

I don’t have adenomyosis. I’ve had natural pregnancies which resulted in a couple of miscarriages and one ectopic with removal of tube due to damage from endo.

In 2015 I had ivf on nhs with my ex partner which failed, I think a lot of this was due to stress. I then lost remaining embryos as we went our separate ways. I then met my currant partner and I had no choice to do ivf private as I lost my nhs go with my ex. I’m glad I did. I collected 7 eggs in 2020 which 5 resulted in blastocyst. I had my first embryo transferred. I now have my little miracle and he’s nearly 17 months. I did try again when my boy was 9 months but unfortunately this time it didn’t work for us. I think it’s a numbers game with the embryos. We are still trying naturally which I have very little hope for but we are looking at another transfer in oct/ nov time after my partners 30th as we are going away. I am nearly 34 but I was 32 when I got pregnant with my ivf baby. Diagnosed with endo since being 19. Please don’t give up hope. I feel you. It’s so hard but I’m proof it’s possible.xxx ❤️

Thanks a lot dear for your inspiration.. I didnt conceive before..but I am losing my eggs day by day..thats why I am confused about the quality of eggs..I had my one tube removed by laparoscopy. I am suffering since I am 16 years old..I just want a baby and want to get Relief from this pain..pray for me..lots of love for yur little one..

My friend had/has severe endo stage 4 and did a load of IVF - she now has two children from it aged 4 and 1.

She did have several lap ops to strip her endo between each round which felt relentless for her at the time (keyhole) but it worked for her!

Since having her children her endo is hardly noticeable whereas before it was horrendous

Good luck xx

Ok..one thing I want to know as my AMH is going down..I want to freeze my eggs first. After that how can I convince doctors to go for laps? Is it possible to freeze first thn go for laps thn transfer?

Have you been told your AMH is dropping fast? This is my worry incase I need more eggs. I would get your eggs frozen first as Laps can take some of the egg reserve. I’ve had eggs taken before laps and after laps it doesn’t make much difference. It can sometimes be tricky to get to the ovaries but they usually manage to do it. Xxx

Hi, May I know how yur frnd had gone through laps for several times? Did the doctor give her laps? Can yu pls let me know the procedure?

Hello, I’m sorry to hear what you are going through, I do understand. My partner and I have been trying unsuccessfully for our first baby for nearly 3 years. I was diagnosed with endo & adeno last year, it’s also affected my bowel and my Fallopian tubes are badly damaged. We are part way through our first round of IVF. I had egg collection done in May & 2 blasts frozen. My doc advised to do 1 egg collection first before surgery as surgery can reduce ovarian reserve if they have to remove ovarian cysts, which I have. I am now waiting for surgery, they will likely remove my tubes as well. Then I will continue with IVF & hopefully have the transfer done a few months after surgery. This is all being done privately so the wait times are not as long as NHS. PSo not a success story, yet, but I wanted you to know you are not alone & there are options out there. Wishing you all the best x

Hi,

I have severe stage 4 endometriosis too - it’s extensive and my bowel is tethered to my uterus. I haven’t had any surgery to removed any of it as remarkably I’m asymptomatic. I just wanted to share my success story to give you a bit of hope! It’s certainly not been an easy journey but I have had 5x transfers - which resulted in 1x BFN, 2x ectopic pregnancies but also 2x BFP! I had a little boy in 2018 (3rd transfer) and am currently 20 weeks pregnant with baby number 2 (5th transfer). I know how hard it can be to stay positive through this process but wishing you all the best with your next transfer. X

Hi, where did you go for the ivf?

Snoopydraws23 profile image

My clinic was based in Nottingham.

Did all transfers were there? May I know after each failed cycle did they apply new protocol?

Snoopydraws23 profile image

Yes, they were all there. My protocol pretty much stayed the same for every transfer. I first transfer (fresh) was a BFN. But my 4 FET all resulted in implantation - and although 2 were ectopic (transfer number 2 and 4), my clinic were still confident we had found a protocol that worked for me so we didn’t change anything. Hello

I have severe endo and I was told by consultant to treat it as a barrier to get pregnant not to maintain pregnancy. And as such we have 3 year old boy (first round of the fresh cycle) and we are trying for the sibling now. We have lost 3 embrios so far from the first cycle. I just had FET and one more left . My pregnancy was by the book, I felt great, labour great too. This time it's the embrios letting us down. Or just lack of luck but you can't win them all...

hi. Hope you are doing ok, how’s is it going with the ivf? I also have stage 4 with bowel and bladder and full frozen pelvis. After surgery they said due to the damage even ivf was unlikely but it did and we have a toddler keeping us very busy. I don’t know if it helped but I followed the endo diet which reduced my pain considerably and when I had the c section they were expecting more endometriosis to be present but it wasn’t. Good luck. Xx

Hi Tillyfloss,May I ask what that diet was? Just avoiding gluten, sugar and dairy?

Xx

hi. Sorry only just seen your message . How are things going? Yes it was no gluten, dairy, sugar etc it’s called the endo diet I can look for the details of the book that I used if you would like it. Xx
