Hi guys, my first FET was on 4th June and I got pregnant only to miscarriage last Friday. I’m devastated but trying to find some comfort in thought this is not the end as we still have one frozen embryo. Does anyone here is after their first failed attempt and what do you do to keep yourself occupy? Also when did your periods came back after miscarriage?

Hello, I’m so very sorry for your loss 💔 I hope you are coping as best you can. When I lost my baby I listened to podcasts such as the worst girl gang ever, and played games such as Tetris to keep my mind busy. I lost my baby at just under 11 weeks and my period took exactly 4 weeks to come back. Here to chat any time x
So sorry for your loss.💔 I have had 2 miscarriages. First one I did not bleed and needed medical intervention. The second one I bled around 8 weeks after knowing the pregnancy was not viable at 6 weeks. Had my period after 4 weeks both times.
It was not easy getting over it the second time and needed a year to decide to try back again. Read a lot of books and binged on Netflix as well. At one point I needed a full change in environment and changed jobs as well to get over the entire sorry eyes at work.
Happy to chat anytime if that will help.
So sorry for your loss babyrainbow and thank you for sharing with me. I think changing jobs it’s a very good point. I’m not sure if can do that now but been thinking about it for different reasons. At my work people speak a lot about children and it’s hard to not be comparing yourself. Even though I sort of made a peace with the way things are for me at the moment. I believe things still can change but I’m running out of time (being 41). We have still one embryo left but before I go through the process again I try to get myself to best shape I can be. All the best to you. Hope it will work out for us all xxx
Hey we had one failed attempt. I felt so shell shocked after it.
I went for a holiday after it happened and it helped me recover.
We never had a positive test though, was never a positive for us - that is much much harder to have that hope and then to miscarry.
I am so sorry you went through this.
I am the same age as you awaiting a transfer in Sept.
Wishing you all the best for wherever you go next with this journey.
X
Thank you for sharing your story with me Eb20 and sorry it didn’t work out first time. I can definitely understand being in shock as I don’t think I’ve passed my state of shock yet. It happened so suddenly. I hope it will all work out for us all (fingers crossed for your transfer in September 🤞🏻🤞🏻) although this is really tough. Sending you lots of hugs and all the best to you on your journey xx
Hi KasiaMa. So sorry to hear of the loss of your little one and hope you have plenty of support just now. It can take up to 3 months for your period to come back to what is normal for you, but often is earlier. Keeping busy? well, I suppose you can go for walks if you feel up to it. Do some baking and read. I don't know - whatever you wnjoy. Take care and let's hope next time is your time. Diane
Hi my lovely, sorry for your loss. I’m currently 5 weeks and 3 days post 1st FET with a BFP. I had clotting yesterday and red bleeding little cramping for about an hour. Called the clinic and they said it’s very common and I shouldn’t be worried. Told me to carry on with meds and I have a scan on Thursday. The nurse did say ivf cycles usually have this. I don’t feel positive at all. I feel like I miscarried too did you have the same experience? Xx
