Hello lovely ladies, i am thinking of trying progesterone supplementation to support early pregnancy. I have recently been having had 1-2 days of spotting prior to my period, which didn't use to have before and have just had a chemical, loosing the pregnancy after several days of spotting, so just want to increase my chances. I am 42 so could just be my age, and i am trying naturally. Also, i am breastfeeding a toddler and don't want to stop, but this could also be a clue for low progesterone.
For those who used it whilst trying naturally what dosage did you use and did it help? Better oral or pessaries? When did you stop if you fell pregnant? Were there any side effects? Thanks in advance !

Hi! I am on cyclogest 200mg per day after ovulation - I am on Letrozole too to help with ovulation at the start of my cycle. We are trying naturally for a while but I am due to have a frozen transfer in the next few months.
I am feeling very very bloated - not sure if it is the progesterone or the Letrozole.
I am the same age as you almost!
We are trying to conceive our 2nd child and only just started the process after a 4 year break.
I feel the safest approach is to speak to your specialist first and tailor based on your personal situation. But as reference. Am on crinone x3 pessaries a day but its not enough. So my specialist has put me on PIO 100mg/ml a day on top of thar, it's the most painful injection you could ask and I break down crying from the unbearable pain due to its high concentration. Pio works best since it slowly releases P into your body over time.
Very belatedly, thank you! I should probably consult a fertility specialist to have a better prescription. My issue is that I am breastfeeding and any fertility doctor will tell me to wean, which is what I definitely am not prepared to do.. wishing you good luck wherever you are in your fertility journey x
Hey I was put on progesterone pessaries about 4 weeks pregnant due to having a bleed. The bleeding stopped and I was told to continue until 12 weeks. I was recently put on it again at 12 week due to my cervix effacing prematurely..
Thank you, very belatedly! I am wondering if I need to see a fertility specialist or whether a private GP will prescribe it too.. I am no longer under the care of the specialist I saw before conceiving my son and will not go the IVF route but just trying my luck naturally ..I wish you best of luck with the rest of your pregnancy and for a safe and empowering birth 🙏
