I’m having a horrible week and have misoprostol tablets to take tonight to help my miscarriage. I had them a couple of years ago, and obviously it’s just dawned on me whether it’s safe to have them again, and if there’s any long term effects which would stop me getting/staying pregnant?
Feel very unsupported by the doctors etc.
Has anyone had to take this medication more than once?
Thanks x

I’m so sorry for your loss. As far as I understand it there’s no long term implications, I’ve had them three times for surgical management and no one seemed worried. Huge hugs xx
I’m sorry you are in this position. It has a very short half life and as far as I know, no long term effects. Hope that the medication is effective x
Firstly, sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I had 3 and I know how you feel now 💔 It is safe, I had a miscarriage in September and one in March and I had to use that medication. I the got pregnant again in March so it will happen again for you absolutely xxx
Hi Catlady. Oh dear, I am so sorry to hear that this has happened to you and hope you've got plenty of support. Only just read your post, so hopefully the treatment has worked. It's pretty safe, and I have not heard of anydetrimental side effects. Sending you love and gentle hugs. Thinking of you. Diane
