Bleeding with Buserelin

Hi everyone,

I started with Buserelin (dosage 300) 2 days ago and I’ve started bleeding very heavily. The nurse said I may or may not have a bleed but I didn’t expect it to happen after only 2 injections. Has anyone else had this? Just wanted to know if I need to call the clinic or if it sounds normal

I would call the clinic just to see if it could be your period early and make sure they are happy starting buserelin so close to it (it should be fine but best to check). They may want your first scan early too xx

I was taking the pill back to back before then so I wasn’t having periods, I’ll give them a call and see what they say thank you xx

I’m on Buserelin at the moment (second cycle) and both times I’ve had a period around a week after starting, basically when my normal period would have arrived. If 2 days is in line with your normal period cycle then it may be ok but it’s definitely worth asking the clinic again just to settle your mind. Good luck!

Thank you, I was taking the pill back to back before so my cycle is a bit out of wack at them moment. The bleeding might just be because I stopped the pill too xx

That happened to me and my clinic then said it could happen. Just your clinic a call ok!
