Sore gums - Progynova

I'm taking Progynova (x4 daily) for the second time (second frozen transfer) I remember telling my dentist I had sore gums last time and they said it was normal while taking this medication. Same soreness this time, really painful to brush my teeth. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hello, oh my gosh, I did! I put it down to the Cyclogest pessaries, which I was on for about ten weeks! It got worse and worse. My dentist didn’t know about the drugs and I just had to deal with it as it obviously isn’t advised to take much pain relief. But I know what you are going through and it was awful. Keep persevering if you can and all I thought was at least it showed the medication was impacting my body. Good luck!

I contacted my clinic and it's not something you can chaage mid cycle. It is bearable, I just wondered more then anything if other people experience it as it is not a listed side affect. They advised to use adult strength bonjela.

Oh my goodness! I’ve just read your post and I honestly have just been thinking there’s something wrong with my gums/teeth for the last 8 weeks! In fact, I booked a dentist appointment today! It must be a side affect from progesterone as I am on injections and pessaries. Thank you for your post, let’s hope the pain stops once we stop the medication - I’ve got 16 injections left so I’ll let you know! Xx

I’ve just seen this!! I’ve been on Elleste solo (same thing) for 10 days and my gums/teeth are sore at the back. I had this for my transfer back in Feb but it went after about 6 weeks or so. I keep worrying it’s something more serious but hoping not, seems maybe to do with the pills. Good luck xx
