I’m hopefully having a FET transfer tomorrow. I transferred a single embryo two times before, but was unsuccessful.
My doctor is recommending transferring two together this time (my last two). But I’m a little nervous of a twin pregnancy (I know that’s very optimistic, I’m likely to have BFN as usual!!!).
My question is, does transferring two embryos increase the chances of a single pregnancy? Or is it better to transfer one? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks 😘xxx

Hi there, sorry I don’t actually have the facts but I was feeling like you when I did my transfer (fresh). Wasn’t planning to put two embryos but the doctor suggested and what I can remember is that they said that the changes of twins was 25% but don’t remember how much more likely was for a single.
We did double in the end and both implanted but one stopped developing before our first scan.
I can’t help thinking that maybe if we only had one, it could’ve been the one we lost.
Good luck with your transfer and I hope you get a BFP either way 🤞🏻
I’ve only ever got a BFP from a double transfer (3 failed single transfers)....but I did end up having twins and can honestly say the pregnancy was brutal and I was fit and healthy before pregnancy. Traumatic birth and premature babies where all 3 of us were at risk. Only do it if you can cope with a multiple pregnancy x
