Hey

Ouch that does look sore and sorry you are bruising but definitely won't impact your little embryo or affect your body absorbing the drugs.

I usually bruise too but found moving to different spots and putting some ice on before the injection helps prevent bruising.

Good luck x

Thank you for your reply, in how many days did it go?

What injections are you taking post transfer? Put a cube of ice on the area before doing the injection, make sure you do it at a 90 degree angle, change area each time. Depending on the medication there are video tutorials online. Good luck xxx

Thank you, it is sodium injections that I have been prescribed everyday post transfer. I did ice compression before injecting and change my side everyday. It was the 5th injection that reacted this manner

Hi, I had to inject cleans every day throughout my pregnancy and my tummy was badly bruised. I found that putting ice on it helps with the discomfort but it still bruises so i changed sides every day.

Did your bruises hurt for more than a day and did it impact your ivf results ?

Yes, sometimes they did hurt and even bled out (had to put plasters on), but they did not have any negative impact on the pregnancy, you learn to live with them but it’s all worth it in the end!

I’ve bruised on occasion too - it’s annoying, but won’t affect your chances, there are many layers of tissue before you get anywhere near something important . Try not to worry, it’s unpleasant but not harmful. Good luck 🤞 x
