Help, can i 💩 1 hour after using cyclogest rectally??

So i am on 1 lubion and 1 pessary a day. My clinic doesn't think its important to check progesterone levels. So frustrated about it. I use cyclogest rectally (pm) and recently, i need to go to the loo like an hour after (the longest i can hold it in, despite going to the loo before pessary).

Am i pooping all the progesterone out? Or should it have been absorbed by then?

My clinic said pooping after an hour should be "ok" i dont want ok. I want it to be just right! 😭

I was told to try not to go within 45 minutes but even then you should be ok! X

Thank you! Depending on who i speak to at my clinic they tell me different stuff. Last cycle the nurse said hold in for 2 hours this time a different nurse is saying 1 hour is fine because that's the longest i can hold. Its a side effect to the pessary otherwise im fine.

You will be fine, it absorbs quite quickly, it’s only the waxy coating that is left. My clinic told me 30 mins is more than enough time x

On their own website it says 45. You’re golden x

I was told it absorbs within 20 mins. You’ll be fine after an hour.

Hi, my consultant said it absorbs very very quickly something like 15 minutes so I wouldn’t worry too much. Hope that helps!

I used progesterone rectally just like you and I remember pooping after an hour is fine, I know it takes 30 min to absorb
