6dp5dt and low cervix - does it matter?

Hi all, I’ve just been to insert my cyclogest (sorry for TMI) and could feel my cervix is very low, so low it was hard to keep pessary in. I got a BFP positive last year but don’t know what my cervix was up to as I used pessaries anally.

I’m just wondering if this is a bad thing? Has anyone noticed anything similar and all has been ok?

Hi lovely, when TTC naturally they say that if you have conceived your cervix will be high, closed and very soft.

I was using this as a gauge during my FETs to try and get a clue if it had worked or not…

BUT due to all the meds, this is absolutely not a good method of checking.

In my last FET my cervix was low and I was convinced I was out. Got my first ever positive… and throughout pregnancy I wouldn’t say my cervix was particularly different to normal..

So try not to read in to it too much as I’m sure it means nothing!!

Thank you so much for your reply - that has made me feel so much better. 💕I’ve decided to go up the other way with the pessaries now so I stop analysing. Only 3 days to go until OTD - it’s killing me now! Xxx

Good plan!!I got so obsessed over my cervix position and then I read that the drugs affect it differently so I stopped!

Hi! I literally posted the exact same question when I was going through my tww. My cervix because noticeably lower and I ended up getting my first ever BFP. So absolutely not an accurate measure for success! Wishing you lots of luck 💖

I had this on my successful round. Usually I do the pessaries anally and decided to switch because they were giving me a dodgy stomach, but I literally couldn’t get it in. I’d be quietly optimistic about this! Xx

Just reading your post i am 5dp5dt and this morning my cervix felt high and this evening its low and hard :/ i am praying my period isnt on its way. My last failed cycle i felt it get hard and low so strangely i was hoping for the opposite to happen for a opposite outcome.

Hi would you mind letting me know what your outcome was? Im 6dp5dt and have noticed mine is definitely lower today and i have awful back pain. Im hoping AF isnt on its way xx

I know this is such an old thread and hope don’t mind the message, 6dp5dt and couple days feel like it’s closed tight then once pessary in I push high, was worried it feels low and hard. Could the progesterone cause this?

I also had a small amount of brown spotting 5dp5dt in the evening, another small amount 2.30 today … 🙏 praying hard xx

Awww thats brilliant congratulations. I really dont think its worked. This is my 6th cycle and i just have that feeling its not worked. I had cramps the first few days after transfer and lower back pain but i just feel like AF is due any minute. Xx

fingers crossed. I think previous cycles have just left me thinking this isnt going to work for me and im just going through the motions. This is our first go using doner sperm though so maybe we will have more success this time. Thanks and congratulations again. ❤xxx
