Heavy bleed during down regulation

Hi everyone,

I started the Syranel nasal spray 13 days ago today, and yesterday the breakthrough bleed started... but it's SAVAGE. My periods are generally quite heavy but I'm leaking through a super plus tampon and flooding the backup pad literally within an hour, day and night.

Is this normal?!

The same happened to me during down reg on the nasal spray, it was horrible. I was changing tampons in the back of my work van on the side of the road because I couldn’t get to the services in time most days! Hang in there, it won’t last forever x

Hi Katanamoon, that does sound pretty heavy. Maybe worth checking with your clinic to make sure they are ok with that. If you feel dizzy at all definitely contact them asap. Hopefully it’s starting to settle but best to check these things out.xx
