Hello everyone, I am back here after a 2 year hiatus! I needed some off after my 7 rounds of egg collections. I am now preparing for embryo transfer at the grand age of 45. I'm so old in the ferility world that my clinic is requesting me to do a comprehensive health check before allowing me to transfer an embryo.
I just went through multiple rounds of vaginal microbiome tests and then a quartet test: ERA, ALICE, EMMA and immunes. The tests returned that I had multiple bacterial infections and I have been through multiple rounds of antibiotics to try and fight them. I am due to go through another biopsy next month to double check whether I got rid of the infections! In my opinion, my many rounds of egg collection surgery plagued me with all of this.
The immune tests returned that I had no elevated NK cells in the endometrium however they are slightly elevated in the blood. I was recommended to take steroids and to go on IVIG. Is anyone else here in a similar situation, and how do you feel about undergoing these treatment add-ons during the pandemic?

Hi there, I'm also in my 40s and I've added immune treatment this last FET cycle, ivig specifically.
The only tricky thing about it is that my clinic won't let me have the treatment if I test positive for covid, but I'm now already pregnant and meant to have another treatment at 7 and 11 weeks. So there is an added layer of stress considering how rife covid is everywhere with no restrictions as it means I have to shield for two/three weeks before my next treatment (so 6 weeks overall during this initial trimester should all go well).
I'd of course do it again as I got a BFP (🤞🤞 the pregnancy continues) but it's just something to bear in mind.
Interestingly I'm meant to be more susceptible to getting covid on ivig but my husband got it and I didn't! I had to ship him away cause of the shielding though 🙈🙈🙈
I was super sleepy after the treatment but otherwise felt fine 💕💕
