Hi HealthUnlocked Fertility Warriors! I hope everyone is hanging in there.
After 7 rounds of egg collections in 2019 (aged 42) and 2020 (aged 43), I ended up collecting 6 PGS normal embryos which I froze. I then took a break over Covid to recover, physically and mentally. After much preparation: weight loss, exercise, supplementation, Quartet test (ERA, ALICE, EMMA), multiple rounds of antibiotics and multiple courses of probiotics, Immunes (Intralipid and Steroids - I was asked to do IVIG due to slightly elevated NK cells in the vagina and refused because I was afraid of taking a human product), I ended up transferring an embryo 11 days ago and got a BFP this morning.
This means that I am pregnant for the first time ever at 45! This feels like a milestone although it still remains to be seen what happens next.
Thank you very much to everyone on this forum for their support since 2019, as this is a very lonely journey (my family isn't supportive of my IVF treatment, although I do have my partner's support).
