Hlw friends, hope you are doing well...May I know in nhs 3 cycles they will allow to give at one go? I mean If I miss 1st cycle, then when do they give next cycle? Is there any further waiting list? Anyone knows the system?

About IVF cycle in NHS
I would guess it very much depends on the clinic and how busy they are. I had 3 cycles on the nhs and with covid closures and waiting times my cycles were pretty much 1 a year for 3 years.
We were only allowed 2 cycles on nhs where we are, but after a failed cycle in April I had MDT discussion and they called about it and then I was able to start again in September after going through appointments again, you don’t go back on a waiting list xx
I think it just depends on the clinic, I had a failed round in April and they wanted to do the next round in the June but my period arrived early before I had my meds so it was July by the time I started the second round x
How many cycles the NHS offers is down to the CCGs for the borough and so based on where you live. I was lambeth so they only offered one cycle and with a cut off age of 40. I’m not sure what you mean by missed a cycle or what the circumstances are. If you mean a period cycle then that would be fine I think - if you mean you missed a whole cycle of ivf then I don’t really understand how that has happened but it would certainly depend on the circumstance
As it can vary so much because of different no of cycles given by different CCGs you would be better to check with the clinic you are attending for treatmentJanet
I’ve only gone through my first cycle which sadly ended in an early miscarriage and medical management to clear out the pregnancy tissue. I’m unsure if I had to wait longer because of the medical management, but I am due to start my second round in April meaning I've had a 6 month break between one ending and the next starting.
