I am new here and due to start my first IVF cycle on Thursday after TTC for 2.5 years and being diagnosed with endometriosis last year. I am so scared about doing the injections and I just wondered how other people overcame the fear of needles? Any advice you could give would be gratefully received x

Hi there! I totally understand. The way I looked at it is there is no way that these needles are more painful than childbirth and that’s exactly what I’m going for 😆 Also I had my hubby do the jabs for me 💉 It helped him to be more involved in the process and helped me not have to watch the needle go in.
Hi, that’s one way to look at it I suppose! I might get my partner to help as it’s not the pain so much but the idea of putting a needle in which is worrying me. Good luck with everything
Hi there, Im in the same boat as you. First round of IVF, got our baseline scan tomorrow and due to start injections in the evening. Im feeling nervous/excited/uncertain. I don't have any advice but just to say there are others out there feeling the same as you
Explain to your nurse your concerns about injections and she will be able to tell you how to break it down into a manageable routine ie involve your partner - give yourself a wee treat each time you do your injections . Just take your time it will become easier .Take care & good luck
