Hi. There's a high likelihood you will be asked regarding your previous fertility treatments before your ivf cycle begins, and I would advise you to be honest about it. And whether you tell them or not, I personally do not think you will have any difference to the tests offered.

Good luck.

You mean they will do all tests again I was just worried what nhs gynaecologist would say that’s why. I dint want they deny treatment Because of failed cycle.

I am not sure what rules would apply to where you live . Every area has a different ccg which guides the rules for fertility treatments via NHS. That would determine whether you are offered tests, and /or treatment.

Hi Nabsal.

You should have a letter given to you before you started your NHS treatment, it details the funding agreement. If you don't still have it then your GP should have it as they will have been given a copy too (& will have filed it with your patient file).

For example we did a second egg collection paid for privately in the hope to make more embryos, but have some embryos frozen via the NHS. Our NHS funding is not affected as long as we implant the NHS embryos first before any privately funded embryos.

So this way the funding is unaffected. Each area has different funding agreements so its specific to you and where you live.

Hope that makes sense. Find your funding letter as that will help you decide and you may have nothing to worry about anyway.

All the best xx

Hi Nabsal, Sorry you are going through this. On this page fertilitynetworkuk.org/acce... there is a link to download a spreadsheet to tell you if a previous cycle is considered when accessing NHS funding, as well as other criteria based on where you live. I also do not recommend lying about this at all. Good luck.

my friend lives in South London, and had private IVF first, before starting NHS IVF. But like some of the above posts say, worth checking with local GP. Good luck x
