Covid and FET - should I wait?

Dear Ladies,

I am currently taking meds for FET embryo donation transfer which is meant to be about end of March but yesterday I tested positive for Covid. 😔

I emailed clinic if we should cancel or what they advise to do but they dont seem to cancel it I guess its still ok to go ahead by them.

I am just very worried and nervous that is this not too soon for transfer after me having Covid??

Will this not have an impact on embryo?

Is this not going affect implantation and embryo wont stick as my inflammation might be flared up by virus??

Should I tell them to cancel and start again in few weeks time or do what clinic says??

There’s been enough research to know if COVID affects fetuses or babies. They would cancel if literatures shows. I think maybe it’s more a guilt feeling

I think you need to consider if you will feel at ease going ahead. If the transfer is unsuccessful you will probably think it’s due to Covid even if perhaps there was another cause. To put your mind at rest perhaps you would be better to wait and try again next month or the following month. I think we always second guess things during IVF so if you can eliminate some of those ‘what ifs’ by holding off for a few weeks then maybe that is what you should do. It’s a decision you need to feel happy with xx
