Hello ladies,

Hi! I was told before starting that as soon as the vaccine becomes available to take it because the guidance changed for women going through IVF and pregnancy. Hope this helps 🙂
Hi, I’ve actually had my first vaccine before my last FET transfer in March and this week I had my second vaccine and I’m starting my meds on Thursday. I spoke to my gynaecologist on both occasions to make sure it was okay. I also had the Oxford vaccine. I was quiet sick (I had a temperature) with the 1st one so I would time it around your scans just Incase. When are you due to transfer?
Hey, thanks for the reply. I have already started my buserelin injections. FET is due on 21st June tentatively. To be honest I am not getting any clear cut advice from my gp or ivf team at guys. All are saying there are no evidences of negative impact. But shall I take it or not...no one's saying.
No one will tell you to take the vaccine it is purely down to you!
All literature especially the upto date information on RCOG says that there is not enough data and to discuss the risks with your GP/Consultant etc
I would suggest if their not anymore forth coming then that’s all your going to get out of them, so they can absolve any blame if anything goes wrong.
So the decision is all yours
If you’re unsure I wouldn’t risk having it whilst on your meds. No one knows enough about the vaccine. And if I you get bad side effects could it affect your treatment? Obvs a medical professional will have the best advice but they are my thoughts : ) Good luck x
Hello, I'm in the same position as you but decided to wait until after my FET to get the vaccine. I did some reading on how it has affected some women's cycle so felt, when I was trying to control my own cycle very tightly, that I didn't want to introduce another factor that could change anything. My clinic did say it was safe though. Once I find out if I'm pregnant or it has failed, I will have the vaccine as I know it's safe in pregnancy, so it's just a delay of a few weeks. Good luck whatever decision you make. XX
I had my first vaccine couple weeks ago and I’m starting meds for frozen transfer in 2 weeks. When I asked my doctor at our consultation I was told if I’m not on meds then take the vaccine, but if it’s during my treatment or if I fall pregnant, then delay the 2nd vaccine.
