Slow beta hcg and low progesterone. Worried🥺

Dear ladies,

I need your help, thoughts…opinion. So grateful in advance.

I’m trying to understand what happens. I had FET with donor eggs. Beta is low. I’m worried because dr from Greece told me to stop Progesterone injections, and to stay with pessaries (3x1) and other therapy. I just don’t understand why to stop injections if progesterone levels are low.

These are my beta hcg results post FET:

9th day - 52

11th day - 62

13th day - 138

15th day - 320 and Progesterone - 10

Tomorrow I’ll do the next beta hcg…

Last time I had biochemical pregnancy, and multiple miscarriages before…so I’m scared, totally isolated and sad…still hope.

Do you have any advice? Thanks 🙏

Hi Pigi, what a rollercoaster you’re on. My hcg started off low (in the 30s) at 9dp5dt and was slow to double. I was told it wouldn’t be viable but my little boy was born a few weeks ago. I found it very painful and an anxious wait so I don’t have any advice other than to be kind to yourself. I’ll be crossing my fingers that your next results are stronger still xx

Dear Llizzie, thank you so much. Congratulations on your little boy💙 I’m so happy for you! I feel exhausted of uncertainty…but your example looked similar from beginning and ended up happily! There is still hope🙏 Thanks once again💙

I am not a doctor but I think your HCG is on track and doing what it should be, it’s still early days. My clinic want over 45 on day 11 which is what you have, I am crossing everything for you but feeling optimistic xx

Dear Daisy1245, thanks a lot!!! You know, it is confusing…I’m in contact with my dr from Greece all the time. She wants to wait until tomorrow. But my gynecologist here in Belgrade wanted to stop all my medications two days ago, since she wasn’t satisfied with values (she told me it is too low…both beta and progesterone) They know each other, and in the end they decided to leave all medications except progesterone injections and to keep me waiting for the next Beta hcg result. I was just confused with such opposite views…Anyway, thank you for your optimism! Million thanks! All the best for you❤️

BIG Thank you to all of you dear ladies for support and for sharing your hopes and wishes with me!❤️

Today’s beta 900. It has tripled.

Progesterone is 10…still low, but higher than last time ( it was only 10)

I hope this could be a good sign…I was told to continue medications ( all except progesterone injections)…and to wait…

Sending you lots of love. Maybe miracles can happen. This is a very tough journey…🙏💕

Hi Conderella5, thank you. I actually made a mistake. Progesteron is 20 today, and it was only 10, two days ago….What is Smith upping? Should I ask just like that? Smith upping? Sorry for asking this way, I’ve never heard about this…and thanks a million once again❤️

Sorry that was a tupo (I've amended it)....your levels sound a bit better at 20....presuming that is 20ng/ml. I would have thought they would have wanted it a little higher though.xx

Yes, they actually told me it’s too low…and when I asked what level it should be, they just told me - higher😳

Have they not given you extra progesterone pessaries or injections?xxx

Pigi in reply toCinderella5

I’ m on pessaries 3x daily, and I was on Lentogest injections, they stopped injections, kept me just on pessaries and progesteron doubled…so I thought it is good, but they told me it is still too low

Your progesterone should increase alongside your hCG. I just thought they would have keep you on the injections to support the pregnancy as much as possible but at least both sets of number are going up!xx

I mean, after stopping Lentogest injections, progesteron level has doubled. I think it is good sign. But they want it higher ( so why they stopped injections?😳
