Hi, i had a miscarriage at 7.5weeks in January - my 4th and have just done another round of ivf with my final 3 embryos. I had no symptoms at all and thought it hadn't worked but then I got a beta hcg of 1203 at 12 days after 5dt...but my progesterone is 2.6 which is very low. Has anyone got any tips of how to increase it naturally? The doctor has increased me to 3 cyclogest a day, 6 duphaston-2 every 8 hours and the oil based injections every 3 days. I'm thinking should injections not be more frequent as I've read that too much progesterone can't harm the baby. And how long does it take for progesterone to increase?any success stories with low progesterone? It just feels like this is my last chance and don't want it going wrong again.

Hi Snow. Brilliant, so keep those positive vibes going, and look towards your first scan. Ponegranite juice and acupuncture can sometimes help. Hopefully, all will continue as it should. Thinking of you. Diane
Hi congrats I would see if you could up the progesterone injections to daily… progesterone levels support the lining as Diane mentioned.. all the best
Thanks. they increased it to daily injections, 6duphaston daily and 3 cyclogest. It went from 5 to 10 so hoping this week it's gone up to closer to 20. We saw a heartbeat though at 6.5weeks so just praying it's still there at the next scan next week as I've been here before when at 8 weeks the baby grew and measured 7 weeks 5 days but no heartbeat.. Really hoping and praying this is the one
hello Snow345, huge congratulations 💙
After a few weeks after transfer my progesterone decreased so the clinic put me on cyclogest - 2x day - and daily prontogest (progesterone in oil injections). It worked and I now have a wonderful baby boy 💙💙💙
If I remember correctly, it took about a couple of weeks for progesterone to go back up - don’t take my word for it though as I am not 1000pc sure about the timing. I was told that progesterone in oil is really effective as it gets well absorbed but I can’t say much about duphaston as I was not given it during IVF.
Perhaps ask your clinic to increase the frequency of injections? Or at least discuss your protocol with them - I am sure they’ll be happy to adjust it to make you feel more comfortable 💙
Good luck!
