HCG/ progesterone levels

Hi all, I am 13dp5dt and had 2 Betas so far. First was 183 HCG and 117 progesterone. Todays was 484 HCG but 98.3 progesterone. I know I’m probably worrying over nothing as my clinic seem happy with these results but once again looking for reassurance that these numbers are ok? I’m having my third (and hopefully final) beta on Friday.

Congratulations 🎊. Sounds good. Try not to worry.

Those numbers look great!

I think progesterone fluctuates but anything over 50 seems to be ok with my clinic.

I would ask them to do another test when they do the final HCG - and they can always add in another pessary or lubion injection to keep the levels up.

I was on a lot during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy as my levels were always low...

xx

thank you! This makes me feel better. I’m just a constant worried mess as I went through an ectopic before Christmas so I’m reading into everything! The clinic will test progesterone as well as HCG again tomorrow so am sure they’ll add more if it’s on the lower end again. I’m just praying my HCG doubles again tomorrow then I’ll try and relax a bit. What were your numbers if you don’t mind me asking? Xxx

Aw I'm sorry to hear about your ectopic - how awful. I can understand the worry.

I don't actually know what my HCG was - they say it needs to be over 100 on 9dp 5dt - so I assume it was - they just said it was positive.

My progesterone was 37 on the day of transfer so they upped it to 3 x pessaries and 2 x lubion, but they didn't test it again and I stayed on that amount until 12 weeks.

thank you :) I’m on 4x pessaries and 2x Lubion already so hopefully that is enough to keep my progesterone where it needs to be. Just trying my absolute best to take each day as it comes and not worry over every tiny detail but it’s so hard. Just want to get to 12 weeks now haha xx

You're probably all good then! I don't imagine my levels were ever high throughout - so just keep trucking on. Plus your body will start producing its own very soon so that will help. It's just supportive at this stage.

And re the HCG - try not to stress over the numbers - it's easy to fixate on them, but at the moment you are very pregnant an if you'd just done a home test that is all you'd know xx

thank you so much. I’ve tested at home so much as well haha. Just trying to keep me calm and then once tomorrow is done I’ll hopefully chill out a bit. I was just worried as to why the progesterone had dipped but you’ve reassured me that’s ok! Xxx

Honestly I think it fluctuates all the time. Most clinics don't even check it..

Calm is your friend ;) xx
