I have just had a lovely holiday where I indulged in a one 125mls (small) glass of wine daily for the whole week. I also had lots of puddings, cream teas, coffees etc. I guess for a normal person… this would be nothing to write about… but for an IVF person it was like I really pushed the boat out.
I’m meant to be starting my next cycle soon… but I’m so worried I have jeopardised my chances and harmed my oocytes by indulging last week.
I guess I’m looking for advice on whether I should delay by another month to recover.

Indulging is definitely allowed!! Think of all those happy hormones that resulted from having a lovely time on holiday! I definitely wouldn’t delay anything. You are probably far more chilled from having a nice holiday than a stressful few weeks of watching what you eat so don’t worry about it. I’m all for a treat here and there and then balance it with a mega salad when I feel like it too! I will definitely be having an Easter egg to my self😂 over the next few weeks even on the meds.x Good luck!
Your eggs are more likely to have benefited from the reduced stress of a relaxing holiday! You won’t have messed it up 😊 the food you eat has little bearing on egg quality, within reason. Xx
I honestly think you’ve done yourself more good than harm by letting your hair down and enjoying yourself for a moment ❤️ Don’t give yourself a hard time.
In my experience, the cycle where I followed all the rules, ate everything right and was super strict was by far my worst cycle. The one where I let myself live my life was the most successful xx
The relaxing holiday will have lowered your stress levels and you will reap the benefit cos you are more than ready for your next cycle of treatmentGood luck
Definitely not, it won't have done any harm at all! My first ever cycle I was so militant and worried that I had to do every little thing right... as time went on and I had more attempts I relaxed my rules and realised that it wasn't within my control and I now have a beautiful son from my 3rd cycle. Sounds like a lovely holiday and a nice thing to do before you start treatment xx
