Wine

Morning everyone

I'm just back from hospital and have my egg collection booked in for 10am on Monday. I was just wondering if a wee cheeky glass of wine would be OK between egg retrieval and transfer? I've not had a drink this year so a glass would be heaven 😛

It was my birthday 2 days after egg collection, so I asked the embryologist if it was okay. She said yes as I was having a 5 day transfer, so the alcohol would be out of my system by then x

I had a wedding in between my egg collection and transfer and the nurse said to go and enjoy myself and have a wine so she obviously didnt think it would be a problem! Good luck for Monday!xx

Hopefully it’ll be a while before you can have alcohol again so I say go for it. One glass surely can’t cause any harm and they do say red wine is good for you 😊

Yes definitely! Treat yourself to a nice hot bath and glass of wine as you won’t have either for a while!! I have to be honest I did have a glass a couple of days after my transfer.... didn’t do any harm xxx
