I guess I’m after reassurance and to be told to stop being an idiot but I took another FRER today (18dpo) and it’s not darker than 16dpo. I would have thought that it would be darker than the control line by now? I’m scared it’s going to get lighter. Anyone else had a anything like this?

Hey, sorry you’re so worried. I think every part of this journey is anxiety ridden. Just wondering whether you took the tests at the same time of day? Might also be that you drank more before your last test? Not sure how relevant this might be but the test for 11dpt looks more concentrated with urine so may have had more pee. I think those lines show great progress and I’ve also come to think that tests which show positives quite early on and which are quite dark by OTD are more likely to stick. Yours look strong. Try not to worry and congratulations...x
Oh I know this feeling well....I usually do this too! Fretting over the colour of lines, I think a lot of us have been there. If you can, step away from the tests for a few days. Also if there is the opportunity to have bloods done 48hrs apart that may settle your mind to see that your hCG levels are rising correctly. Congratulations.xx
Its totally understandable to feel like you do, I posted something very similar after my BFP I freaked out the line (although very dark) hadn’t got darker and worried myself silly. I’m now 17 weeks pregnant and everything was totally fine. Those look like good strong lines to me but if you need more reassurance go and get a blood beta which is going to be much more accurate than a home test xx
No not usually, is yours an IVF or natural pregnancy? I’m guessing natural since you refer to dpo? If IVF clinics sometimes offer it or let you pay extra for it. You can always ask your GP but I’m not sure if they would do it if you have a positive urine test as they are so accurate
Number one... Woop woop congratulations!!!!! Number 2, I would urge you to STAY AWAY FROM THE PEE STICKS!!! I had a terrible time with my first bfp that ended in chemical. So once I had my second bfp i decided I wasn't going to try to make myself blurry eyed comparing the tests and only tested 48 hours after, as requested, then a week after that. You will drive yourself bonkers. Trust that this is going to work. And if you HAVE to test, maybe use clear blue with the digital thing so you can see it change a week later. But my advice is defo... Stay away from the pee sticks! Xxx
