Day 3 embryos

Just a little post to give an update on our embryos... today is day 3, and out of the 3 that fertilised I'm super happy that ALL 3 are still good today 😀

Embryo 1 = 10 cells

Embryo 2 = 11 cells

Embryo 3 = 8 cells

I wasn’t given any further info, so I've had to Google and it seems these are good numbers? They've all been frozen today.

May I ask why they're freezing them on day 3? Is it what your clinic always does? My clinic will only freeze on day 5.

Some clinics have a policy that at least one has to be frozen on day 3 so that you definitely have something to transfer

Thank you, absolutely delighted (and relieved!) She said it was because there were only 3, and one was a bit slower than the other 2, so it meant that when it comes to transfer we had more options. They could thaw one, try and develop to day 5, then transfer. And if that didn't work, I still had another day 3 to transfer. Hope all went well for you x
