This all sounds pretty positive Lisa. On day 3 the preferred number of cells in an embryo is 8 however you can see embryos with 9, 7, 6 etc. The clinics are also looking for the division of cells to be equal sized with mininmal fragmentation. Ive attached this link for you to have a read through. Hope it helps. Good luck.xx
Thank you we’re really hoping so too!! This is our second cycle and In our first we had 4 at collection and only two made it to day 5! Apparently both good grade embryos! First ended In a chemical and second was a bfn!!! Go I guess the grading doesn’t mean anything!! Xxx
Ps - on my first ICSI, I end up with one poor embryo at day 3 which we decided to transfer there and then in case we lost him. That day 3 poor quality embryo is now s very big, healthy and naughty 4 year old. I also had a good quality embryo transfer at day 5 that unfortunately I MC at week 10.... so as you can see quality of embryo does not equal pregnancy or healthy baby.... be strong 💪
I had one looking a bit worrying last week and it caught up too, so try not to worry too much. (I know that’s easier said than done) wishing lots of luck for Wed xx
