I am 4 days past the transfer of three-day embryo C8G1 I did one stupid thing yesterday, I took the test in the middle of the day and it was positive, today again positive even darker line today. Is anyone here doing the same thing, obsessing with testing? What do you think any chances to be real positive?

Hey lovely,

I am really sorry to be a downer but I think it’s unlikely to be a real positive this early on. 4 days past a 3 day transfer ( 4dp3dt) is the equivalent of 2 days past a 5 day transfer (2dp5dt). I think that’s probably still the trigger shot unfortunately. The earliest you normally can see a real positive is about 5dp5dt which would be 7 days past transfer for you as it was a day 3 embryo. Even then, lots of women don’t get a positive until later on, that’s why the clinic give you a test day.

Hopefully this helps, this is a timeline of what happens to the embryo after it’s transferred. Just remember to add an extra two days onto this as it’s based on a day 5 embryo:

Day 1: The blastocyst begins to hatch out of its shell.

Day 2: The blastocyst continues to hatch out of its shell and begins to attach itself to the uterus.

Day 3: The blastocyst attaches deeper into the uterine lining, beginning implantation.

Day 4: Implantation continues.

Day 5: Implantation is complete. Cells that eventually become the placenta and fetus have begun to develop.

Day 6: Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), the hormone that signals a developing pregnancy, starts to enter the blood stream.

Days 7 and 8: Fetal development continues and hCG continues to be secreted.

Day 9: Levels of hCG are now high enough in maternal blood to detect a pregnancy using a blood test.

Good luck xx

Thank you so much for the extensive answer, believe me, I am more than aware of this, it is my 6th transfer, I just want to lead how the line will disappear, I am doing like some research on my own. 🙂

I agree with Kibo. Hoping I am wrong and it is a positive but I have had trigger positives all the way through to 6dp5det which would be 8dp3dt x

It makes me feel calm, after 5 failed transfers this is nonsense but calms me, I don't know how to explain. I will calmly accept the result in the end.
