I had a trigger shot 15 days ago (250 Ovitrelle, as part of a natural modified FET), today I'm 8DP5DT and have got a positive on the first response test.
Just questioning myself really and worrying in case it could still be the trigger, I'd read the trigger leaves after 10-14 days, which is why I waited till today to test, but now I'm questioning everything. Any experiences from people who tested out their triggers etc. would be brilliant, thank you.

Ooh! Sounds cautiously good to me! I think by now the trigger should be out of your system? But I don't know for sure, haven't looked at this enough. If I make it to FET next week, I'm going to break all my own rules and test really early, as I actually WANT to see the trigger give a positive 😆 Even though I know it won't count so early, I just feel I need to see a flipping positive pregnancy test for once in my life 😂 Hoping this is it for you xx
Thank you lovely. Wishing you so so much luck for transfer next week, I've got absolutely everything crossed for you.Part of me weirdly does wish I'd tested really early so then I could have tested out the trigger shot, but hay ho, more wait and see.
Honestly, this is my plan. I need to somehow see something other than a stark blank pregnancy test, to try to cure the terror I now feel when looking at the damn things 😆 I know it will be a completely meaningless 'result' but I really think this is what I'm going to do when I do my FET 😂
If it’s a really faint line it might be the trigger but in reality it’s a bfp!! I did a trigger 4 days past a transfer and got my bfp 8 days later, it wasn’t the trigger!
Thank you so much hun that's really encouraging, just praying it sticks around and still positive on OTD. My gosh in this IVF game there is always something new to be worrying about!Congratulations on your BFP!!
On both my bfp it was 8 days after. What I meant to write was I did a trigger of 2000 3 days after transfer and 4 days after that I got my bfp and it only got stronger. So that was 7dp5dt.
Thank you so much lovely, that's brilliant to hear. Congratulations! I've tested again this morning (9DP5DT) and there's still a pretty good line so hopeful it's not trigger, but now stressing about line progression, as both yesterday and today are the same (there's just so much worry in this game isn't there!).
If the line is not getting lighter that's wonderful!Make sure you use first morning urine and remember that hcg needs 48 to 72 hours to double so I think that's why the line is not getting darker.
Congratulations ❤️ when is your OTD?In an attempt to pretend I have some control - please don't judge me - I tested a day before the transfer to see how the trigger would be showing. It was a very faint line. Then tested at 3dpt5dt and it was bfn, then again at 5dpt and a super faint line appeared again. At 7/8dpt the line was strong enough for my DH to admit it is there 😁. On my OTD it was proper bfp. Now I'm dealing with the anxiety of waiting for the first scan and no amount of pregnancy tests help here... 😅Best of luck to you xx
Thank you lovely, and Congratulations to you too! You're strategy actually sounds pretty clever 😆, that way at least you know it's not trigger! My OTD is tomorrow and I've tested again today and the line is getting stronger so I'm feeling reassured it's not trigger, but now moved on to massive anxiety about line progression and whether I'll make it to first scan, oh my is there no end to my levels of crazy lady!
I tested every day from embryo transfer (yes, against all advice 😬) as I wanted to watch for trigger shot effect declining. I used early response tests, and trigger shot had completely gone 6 days after I took it. I guess there will be some individuality but I think very unlikely to be there after 12 days.
Thank you so much hun, I am feeling reassured now it's not trigger as it's got stronger today at 10DP5DT, but now moved on to stressing about whether there's enough line progression. My goodness IVF is not good for anxiety!
I have tested out my ovitrelle 250 and 8 days later it had already left the system. Also the information that comes along with the injection says that is 10 days, so I believe congratulations are in order but can you do a blood test? That is definitely the way to be 100% sure. All the luck for you 🍀🤍
Thank you so much lovely. This is actually an older post so I'm delighted to say it was a true positive and my little boy is now lying next to me feeding.
Hi! I am so happy for you! I am in the same situation. My trigger shot was 16 days ago and I was getting BFP since day 7, but didn't know if it was the ovitrelle. So, I took a private blood test (16 days post trigger and 10post transfer) and it showed 369 u. I called the clinic and they said it could be the trigger. What do you think?
