just started meds for fet , i have an automimmune and thyroid problem and on our fresh cycle i took 2xpredisnalone a day. The cycle was unsuccessful and we are on to our frosties. I checked the prescription over the weekend and it is now stating just 1 x 5mg prednisalone a day instead of 2. I have queried with the nurse and she just said thats what the dr wrote down. I have asked her to actually check with the dr as i think this is a mistake ... anyone shed any light as to why they would reduce the amount if it is legit and not just an error ?
Thanks

I think you have done the right thing to ask them to check with the consultant.
I've only used prednisone for FET but my protocol is 10mg until 3 days before transfer then goes up to 20mg but know others have higher or lower. Depends I think on the reason you are on them and the clinic as they do come with side effects and risks (especially while Covid is still around) so your clinic might be going for the lowest dose for that reason?
Hope they call back with an update to reassure you and good luck for this round xx
Hi Kitca. As you have a diagnosed auto-immune problem you need to check the dose with your specialist and also how you are to wean off them. Good luck! Diane
Hi All. Just heard back and they agree it should be on the same dose as last time . Thank you all for your help. Its a bit infuriating that i had to bring it up with them but glad i have !! Xx
