I received a letter in the post today with a prescription for the above for 7 days.
I have rang my clinic to get more info and results for my biopsy.
Meanwhile, I was wondering if anyone has taken these before? Can I expect to proceed for FET after taking these or would I need to get another biopsy done to check if whatever is being treated has cleared?
I have so many questions to ask the clinic but while I'm waiting I thought I'd ask for your experiences.
Thanks

Hi, I was prescribed metronidazole before IVF (fresh round) as my husband’s semen culture identified gardnerella so his urologist suggested a course for both of us. Gardnerella is linked to BV in women which can hinder pregnancy. I suspect it will have been picked up in your biopsy but it is generally easily treated. (Don’t drink alcohol on it, it has terrible side effects). I’m not sure whether they’ll test again but it can be done via a simple vaginal swab at your GP (I asked for one at the same time as my smear test) if you want to check the course has worked. Hope that helps x
I had a oral course of metronidazole and had the biopsy repeated but it hadn’t had any affect so I then had an oral course of a different antibiotic and as well as metronidazole gel then repeated the biopsy again and that did the trick. It’s such a frustrating process but I’m our experience well worth it. Good luck.
