Down-regulation before FET??

Hi all,

I've been having issues with a haemorrhagic cyst which led to the cancellation of my planned FET. My clinic asked me to wait and have a gonapeptyl injection on CD 22-27 - I assume this is for down-regulation purposes - the clinic have not provided any reasoning behind this or any explanation. It doesn't make any sense to me and my clinic are terrible at getting back to me with sufficient information in a reasonable time. If you have any advice, please feel free to share! Thank you!

Please not that I have diminished ovarian reserve and my understanding is that down-regulation is counterproductive in this case and may lead to additional issues. Please share any advice, I'm really confused!

I’ve known those with very low AMH to down regulate. I think it’s to ensure you don’t ovulate. Sorry I don’t know much more than that xx

Thanks Diane! As I've got low ovarian reserve, I'm keen to be cautious with down-regulation! Would you suggest the benefits of using the medication would outweigh the potential downsides?
