Hello,
After 2 rounds of IVF and 4 transfers I can't believe I'm writing to say we have a positive.
Despite having grade A and B embryos, implantation wasn't happening.
We had just done a new stimulation and we were about to pause for 3 months to get NK cell/immunology tests. We really didn't know what to do, and whether to transfer one last time, do PGT-A testing or immunology, or both... and the cost of it all! π In the end we listened to the doctor who first referred us to the clinic, and decided to do one last fresh transfer. We also tested the 6 other embryos, which cost us Β£3k! π
I can't believe this transfer worked - and who knows it it will stick- but we now suspect we had poor quality on the first round. It's the fertilisation rate that clued us up. The only other thing we changed was moving to Cyclogest and Impryl. We did up stimulation drugs, but collected one less egg.
Also, please laugh as we went to Avebury on transfer day. Our Embryologist thought we were complete hippies and going to implore the fertility gods π. We just wanted a nice day out but who knows, perhaps it helped- I found that happy/fuzzy feeling I hadn't felt in months.
I wanted to share this to give hope to those in similar situations. I had no idea that quality could vary so much from one cycle to the next, and if embryos are not implanting a fresh cycle could make the difference.
