I would like to share my story to give others hope during this difficult journey.
I am 41 years old and 5 months pregnant. It was the most difficult time in my life but all the stress, I am hoping, will pay off soon.
It took us 3 years eventually to get pregnant, 3 ivf cycles, 5 transfers, and one miscarrage. When I was loosing my hope, I read "It starts with the egg" book and made many changes in my life and started taking suplements. I got pregnant with my own egg and I am due in Dec.
I still cannot belive it is actually happening.
I would like to share it with you all to say that even if you are over 40, it is worth trying. Older ladies should not give up and try the supplements and make as many changes as possible.
I am sending my ❤️ to all women who currently are going through this x

Congratulations!!!! And thank you so much for sharing your story. I just had my first failed attempt and I am gutted, so I needed to hear some stories of hope. Stay well and really happy for you!!!
Congratulations I'm really happy for you, I'm 40 years old and I just found out I'm pregnant I will be 41 by the time my baby is born so it's definitely possible for older women, I highly recommend trying for older women also and as hard as it is not to give up xx
Hi!I was taking all supplements as advised in the book.
I stopped drinking from plastic bottles, bought a tap filter for home and a water pitcher with filter for work, replaced my electric plastic kettle for traditional metal kettle with a whisle, ditched all plastic utensils and containers in my kitchen. I was wraping my sandwiches in baking paper
I was using only alcohol free mouth wash.
I did not use any perfums or nail varnish for months. I was choosing cosmetics that are for sensitive skin and fragnance free.
I was always eating healthy so that was not a massive change but tried more mediterranean stuff such us olives, feta cheese, olive oil etc.
I ate a lot of nuts.
I always excecised regularly - 2-3 times a week.
I have to admit I had a glass of wine or beer once a week but not during stims.
It all sounds mad but maybe it made a difference who knows.
Thank you for sharing. I am 40, currently taking stims for my next ER and have made loads of changes to my diet; exercise and supplement regime for this cycle. Your post gives me hope.
Thank you all🙂This was really difficult time. I was doubting I will ever become a mum. The outcomes from my treatment were so depressing - only 1 egg fertilised per cycle (I had 3 eggs on my first cycle but could not repeat this on the second or third).I was considering donor eggs if the 3rd cycle was unsuccessful but luckily I got my golden egg. And it was an average embryo so the chances were very slim!
Of course, I would not advise to try forever and throw all money at it, but I think 3-4 cycles are worth a try, before other options are considered. And definitely read the book.
