NK Cells - any advice ❤

I know it's a longshot but I wanted to see if anyone knows anything about my NK cell count - photo attached. I've been tested however my clinic are unaware what the normal range should be (not sure why they tested me in the first place) does anyone have anything to compare this to at all? Do they seem high? I want to go on a low dose steroid to improve my chances as I have Endometriosis and apparently high NK cells are common with this. Also (don't laugh) but my husband has covid and I don't, could this be a reason why? If anyone has any advice please reply or message me. I don't want to waste anymore embryos if I need to get this addressed .. ❤💫 thanks xxx

Hi lovely, it's so hard to tell isn't it!

I just had a look back at my results and they are presented differently so not much use.

It did show that my CD69 NK are high - 6.67% when it should be less than 1% - so I guess you need the marker to show what your levels should be.

Funny you should say that about Covid - because last year when my dad was in hospital, me, my husband, sister, mum and brother spent hours in the Covid waiting area (long story) and everyone got Covid except me and my husband. Go figure.

Thanks hun thats useful ❤ I'm thinking CD69 is similar to my NK69. But I have a few of those lol 🙈 it is hard to tell exactly. I wonder why my clinic test it if they don't know what they are looking for x

It does seem odd doesn't it! What are they going to do about it? Will they get someone to interpret? xx

I'm going to ask them if that's possible 🤔 if not might try and go somewhere else for advice. I have it in black and white lol so just need to know what it means x

Hello, I don't know about the ranges but the results are coming up as either concentration in the blood (10'6/L) or as a percentage of your white blood cells (%). The dim vs bright is used in this type of analysis to determine between cells which express the marker CD69 dimly (low expression) or alot (bright). For now just focus on those that say total. So total NK69 percent is 0.24 for you, according to Millbanks it needs to be below 1%. This is only my interpretation though as I work with this kind of analysis but confirm with medical experts. Wish you all the best. Xx

Hey little peax.. So I found my notes on this- 1. NK cell count should be below 200mil BUT also got told this is an arbitrary measurement as it doesn’t show us how active they are, so count is less important.

2. CD69 (not sure if same as NK69) should be below 1 mil/l. (I’m not sure if % calculations)

3. You possibly may not need further testing based on your results but I had NK cytotoxicity tested and TH1/TH2.

I posted here incase anyone has further insight on interpreting this.

Hope that helps you 🤞 sorry wasn’t much more detail there xx
