I've recently started my referral at a recurrent miscarriage clinic. My results show I have REALLY high NK cell count. Sadly due to my mental health struggles I can't use the usual steroid treatment plans. I just wondered if anyone has experience with NK cell treatment during IVF & if u could offer any advise at all about them?
Thanks u amazing bunch xxx

Hi Nat6. So sorry to hear that you are somewhat restricted to treatment for NK cells. I just wondered whether your clinic would consider skipping the steroids and just concentrate on using low dose soluble aspirin and Clexane (heparin) to ensure no clotting occurs. Worth trying something that won't interfere with your other struggles? Good luckand I do hope they can come up with some definite support during any future treatment cycle. Dianwe
Thanks Diane. I am now on a dose of aspirin & also a tablet to help with my thyroid. Will be using fragmin on my next round of ivf. I also have to have a hysteroscopy before that as well as I've had 3 chemical pregnancies. Feels like a long road as we had our last try in October last year & we've only just got our referrals under way for investigations again before ivf again.
I guess I'm concerned about the NK cells incase they're there for a reason & trying to fight something nasty. X

Hi Nat6. That's great! I say that as I was a bit anxious that you hadn't had a womb biopsy to check out NK cells as well. Obviously the hysteroscopy will cover that. Oh I do hope all goes well, and I'm so pleased re the soluble aspirin and Fragmin. Whoever your specialist is, he/she is looking after you. HUGE hugs and good luck. Diane
