Started the meds etc for my first ever FET a couple of days ago. Feeling so many mixed emotions - excitement along with so many nerves and genuinely being terrified of what may not happen. Got my lining scan next Friday, hoping my body doesn’t let me down and it’s doing as it should.
Any tips or do’s/dont’s are welcome xx

Hey nun, I would have the time off. I found it was more peaceful for me, knowing that I did what I could to minimise stress. I’ve had 7 embryo transfers in Eastern Europe with 4bfp’s and always rested for the first few days. There’s lots of debate and studies indicating that test post transfer isn’t necessary. It’s also so precious that whatever the outcome you need to feel comfortable that you gave it the best chance. The last few transfers have been Ukraine and both flights and gentle walking to the terminal etc have done no harm but take the opportunity to rest and pamper yourself! The best diet to aid implantation is the same diet you should be eating throughout your treatment and pregnancy. You should add nutritionally balanced foods with lots of protein, fibre and vegetables. Avoid foods like high-mercury fish and soft cheeses. The most important thing is to check with your doctor about any vitamins or supplements you should be taking. Wishing you so much luck for test day and hope the positive line gets stronger! Xx
Hey, I would say as the others have just look after yourself! Take the drugs you have been given, after the transfer be kind and listen to your body, do everything you would as if you are pregnant - as technically you are! there are lots of things you could / can’t do and different people will have had different success or beliefs in them! Speak up if you have any worries don’t sit and stew!! Good luck!!!
Ooh exciting! Wishing you good luck!So I had 3 FET this last 6months. First one I tried to be really good (food, no alcohol, acupuncture) and sadly my lining just didn’t build up. So that one got cancelled. Huge disappointment and tears but I do now realise that sometimes they just have to trial the meds.
My 2nd FET was upped with more estrogen tablets and patches and lining all good! I did also ‘let go’ more in the first 2 weeks and I think that worked best. Sadly was a BFN but the 3rd FET again same thing: kept doing everything during the build up of the lining (running, work, even my weekend glass of wine because relaxation and lowering stress is important). And currently waiting in the horrible 2WW but feeling better and less stressed. Of course did stop my running and alcohol after the transfer but generally before transfer I would do what makes you feel good and helps to keep stress under control! And once you have done a FET you know what is coming afterwards which is helpful for a next one if needed but I hope you will get your BFP!
Remember you are not trying to produce eggs of good quality in a FET so the first 2 weeks are not as important compared with a fresh cycle.
I found the FET so much gentler than a collection and fresh transfer. I was not well on the oestrogen but that's just me and they were able to change the dose. Weirdly I actually enjoyed the prep and transfer as it felt much more controlled and predictable. I didn't change anything diet or exercise-wise and I was super busy and stressed at work in run-up and after, and we were renovating a house. I'd probably just got to the point of not letting (or not able to let) treatment take over my life and trusting my body would do what was needed on fewer and lower doses of meds. I was on progesterone vaginally and lubion as our issue seemed to be progesterone on prior early losses, plus aspirin on off chance it helped, and folate rather than just folic acid - got BFP almost immediately after transfer and no idea if it was any of the meds or supplements, or my body being more recovered than on fresh, or just chance. Best of luck!
