Hi I am currently in turkey doing ivf our first cycle. I know no one who has done ivf and I went in head first I actually went through a lot. But I have OHSS. So I had to wait for my next period cycle which was tough. But I am on estrogen rn almost done with it. Let me know if you are going through the same thing or similar!

Hi Jiijo, my first fresh cycle was cancelled too because I had ohss. However, during my first FET cycle I had water on my uterus and that was cancelled too as it was unlikely that the embryo would stick. But my third round went ahead and I did get pregnant from that round but unfortunately I miscarried.

Are they scanning you to check your linning? Good luck with your transfer x

I didn’t have water or fluid in my uterus so they went ahead and gave me estrogen I have an appointment on Monday to check my lining hopefully it’s thick enough! Are you going again?

We're recently going through our second miscarriage. We have our consultation in 6 weeks time. Eventhough we have 3 embryos left but I'm mot sure whether they have any chromosomal abnormality so we will be having them pgs tested. If things dont go well here we are thinking of going abroad for our next fresh cycle. Can I please ask what your experience is like in Turkey as I hadn't considered Turkey but only a few clinics in greece and what the costs are too? X

I’m sorry sis I’m praying that you get pregnant full term and have a healthy baby! And Turkey is really cheap and really nice the docs here are very straightforward if something doesn’t seem right they will not do it. Literally they check in with me everyday! My total treatment was 3,400 usd the 400 was to freeze my embryos. I have a question my embryos are frozen for 30+ days will they be defected? The only thing is I like home which is in the US being in a different country is difficult and we can’t leave till 3-4 months pregnant it’s a 10hr flight the whole thing with gravity.

They shouldn't be affected my frozen transfer took place after 5 months and everything was fine when they were thawed. However, some embryos don't survive the thawing process but mine were fine. Also the clinics don't freeze the embryo unless they pass a certain quality.Do you have to stay in Turkey for your full treatment? X

Oh okay! And yes I’m saying here for my full treatment I’ve been here for almost two months now!

Wow I don't think I could stay abroad for that long due to both work purposes and other commitments. Is there any specific reason they have asked you to stay as alot of women travel whilst they are pregnant or having treatment.

Well ppl can go home right after treatment but since this is my first time getting pregnant I wanted to make sure my embryos implants correctly and that I’m healthy and my fetus is strong enough. Honestly majority of ppl come get things don’t and go back home this was personal choice.

Hi, worry to jump in on this but i had 3 failed ivf cycles, 2 fresh and one frozen. It may be worth checking for natural killer cells and your immunity which is what they found I had so I'm now about to start a FET but with prednisolone and infralipids once covid calms down!

Most def I’ll ask! Thanks. Are you on another cycle ?

Hi, don't worry about the nk cells, it's mistyped for people who have recurrent miscarriage or failed implantation .. Hopefully your frozen cycles is successful. Stay positive ❤️

Sammy246 in reply toSnow345

Thank you snow345. I think my consultant wants to eliminate the chromosomal abnormality and then look into whether I have NK cells or other avenues. I know they had thought that my sister had NK cells too due to continuing failed implantation. She also had ivf treatment and had some extra injections to help if she did have nk cells and she now has a healthy 8 month old son after having the additional injections.

As I've had enlarged egg yolks in both my pregnancies I'm not sure whether that's associated with chromosomal abnormality (CA) or not. But the shape was normal but enlarged yolk sac. Hence why I'm inclined to think its CA. I have tried researching and really wished the libraries were open now but the online research is limited.

Good luck with your Fet cycle and I pray you end up with a healthy pregnancy xx

Jiijo in reply toShazb123

Istanbul, it’s pretty straightforward. Personally it cost me 3,400 usd. And yes I’m staying here for the whole treatment.
