Waiting list with the NHS for a Hysteroscopy

Hi

Does anyone know how long the waiting list with the NHS (Liverpool) is for a Hysteroscopy?

I have had two failed cycles.

Found out this morning that number two had failed :-(

Any information is appreciated.

Thank you

Sian

I don’t know how long it is in Liverpool, but I had a consultation on Tues of this week and my hysteroscopy is booked for 22 March. Most things seem to take a minimum of 3 months on the nhs….

Hi Thank you for taking the time to reply. I think that is still a long time.

I hope it goes well and I wish you all the luck in the world 😘 xx

Hey. I am with Liverpool. Before my fet last month I needed a cyst drained and they told me it would take up to 6mths on the nhs (private ivf) but we could pay private to have it done straight away. We did choose to pay because we couldn’t wait up to 6mths! If paying private isn’t an option there is a wait list because it’s not “urgent” Good luck 💗

HiThank you for taking the time to reply.

I think private is the me way to go for the Hysteroscopy. I found something on line that said the wait was around 8 months. I can’t wait 8 months. They won’t do my third transfer without doing the procedure. No way can I wait at least 9 months for transfer 3.

Thank you and good luck to you 😘 x

I’m not sure this is the case everywhere but your GP can refer you to a private hospital for NHS treatment. They could have select private hospitals they work with. That is how I avoided the long NHS wait list for my surgery. Worth a shop.

They did the referral through e-referrals if that helps. I understand each area will be different though. Best of luck.

So sorry to hear your second transfer didn’t work, big hugs ♥️

After my second unsuccessful, I also had a hysteroscopy via the NHS and waited 6 weeks (I’m London based). I think that’s relatively fast though compared to some of the answers above! Lookout for cancellations, it may help you get in quicker! Xx
