My embryo transfer is tomorrow, eeeek! On top of the normal anxiety about what's going to happen, covid is making it a lot worse!
I'm so scared of catching it and affecting the embryo, we're both double jabbed. Obviously my partner and I can't self isolate for 9 months and we're being careful, but it's giving me a lot of anxiety and probs driving my partner mad! Haha
Does anyone have any advice for how to handle this extra covid anxiety please?

Good luck with your transfer tomorrow. I have a scan tomorrow ahead of a transfer next week. Like you the Covid anxiety is real. I’ve had some snuffles this week but I’m not sure if it’s my head playing games with me.I just try to control the controllable. I can’t really change my exposure to Covid through my job, but I can make choices around who I socialise with and where etc.
Thanks, that's good advice. It's sometimes good to know you're not being crazy and you're not the only one that's dealing with it! Yeh we're being careful and asking people we're socialising with to take lateral flow tests.
Sorry to hear you've got sniffles, hope you feel OK.
Best of luck tomorrow 😉. I agree with Phoebe345 focus on control the controllable. If possible work from home, mask, take alcohol with you and use it as much as you need, avoid celebrations that won't really bring anything to you....those are the things that comes to my mind....also don't watch the news, if it causing you stress and anxiety.
Oh no, it is real and normal. I don’t try to manage my anxiety but exposure instead. Due back to the office in January and not happy since in my private life we don’t go anywhere near other people as much as possible. Do what you can. Most pregnancy covid cases of double jabbed are apparently managable with 3rd trimester being the most dangerous. Good luck with your transfer 🤞
I totally understand your worries Matilda. I work in a hospital and Im due to have my transfer on Sunday. Had to go on a covid ward yesterday and I was so nervous! But pinklemon is right, if you do get it you’re v unlikely to get particularly unwell having been double jabbed. As the others have said focus on what you can control. And try and keep yourself distracted as much as possible. Wishing you lots of luck today!xxx
