Thanks to all of you for being so supportive throughout my first IVF cycle, hopefully you'll continue to share your awesomeness and wisdom! I of course will offer advice where I can
On Saturday we had one day 5 early blastocyst put back in, they said as it's too early they cannot grade but are happy with it's progress. They've said perhaps it's not a morning one lol!
I know it's been a few days and I've not posted on here; we thought it's best to just be together, spend time together and find things to do, we watched lots of films, played with the dogs and played lots of computer games We had Monday off from work which really helped.
So I wanted to let you all know we're still here and still on our journey.
We've been given a date of 1st December to test (first morning wee) with all the stuff to do the test and a second one for the next day if needed. I've not checked the instructions etc for the tests as they're in sealed envelopes; we thought it best to put them in a drawer and just "forget" about them for a while. I've set a calendar alert on my phone for the 1st. That would be 11dp5dt?
We had all the info on Saturday about what to do / not to do. All makes sense.
I guess we have a few questions:
It says no hot baths, how warm should I / can I have them? I'm happy to put a thermometer in the water and measure.
When can I start to have baths? I'm keeping with showers for now, but baths are relaxing when tired.
What day did you test on? Should I do both the 1st December and the 2nd or just the 2nd? Wondering if left to the 2nd day whether that'll be less stressful than doing it twice, so doing on 12dp rather than 11? Or will it not matter that late?
I see some of you test really early so should I wait? I have some First Response tests from a while ago.
I'm taking Folic Acid and Vitamin D, docs say stay on these, which makes sense and I will do. I have hypothyroidism so I'm continuing my medication as normal. I take daily Iron with B12 as I have slight anaemia - are these okay?
I try to eat as little meat as possible (endometriosis flareup trigger is red meat), and as little dairy - caesin sensitivity. I do have chicken occasionally, and make sure my meals have a good source of protein. I don't drink milk but do drink alternatives; I try to get Oatly as much as possible as that's the only one I've found that has iodine in, A lot of other's lack this, which is in dairy milk. Soya is another endometriosis flareup trigger. I eat eggs, am fine with cheese and yoghurt. Is there anything I should be changing or just keep to what's worked and I know?
Not sure what to do for any of the above, any advice / suggestions from you amazing people would be great so we don't worry too much. Any other info you can give on any aspect based on your experience would help greatly
